The features that have made the TX-4 an award-wining RC crawler are all found in the Bronco: High-clearance portal axles, remote-operated T-Lock differentials, 2 speed High and Low transmission, GTS shocks in aluminium and a steel-ladder frame – just to mention a few of the features that makes the TRX-4 the crawler of choice for most.
The portal axles offer quite a bit of ingenuity to increase ground clearance. To achieve the same increase through tire size alone, it would require your tires to be over an inch bigger in diameter! This increase allows the TRX-4 Bronco to scale large rocks but without the negative impact on the cars center of gravity. The axles also use gear reduction at the wheels to eliminate torque twist. This means the Titan 550 motor can use its power to go forward, rather than wasting the energy and twisting your car off the rocks.
The car is built on a rigid heavy-duty steel frame with molded cross-members. This increases rigidity, making the car more predictable and easier to handle on technical trails. Similarly, the GTS Aluminium shocks offer super smooth dampening as well as true-to-scale looks to match that beautiful body. The shocks are threaded, making ride height adjustments super easy.
An award-winning Rock Crawler
The TRX-4 Bronco uses some of the best Traxxas has to offer. The TQi radio allows you to operate the 2-speed transmission and T-Lock diffs, as well as activate Cruise Control. By adding the #6511 Wireless Module to the car, you can even customise settings and monitor important data while on the go.
It obviously wouldn’t be a very good rock crawler if it couldn’t handle a bit of water. So the Broncos ESC and servo are of course waterproof, with the receiver fully protected in a watertight enclosure as well. Water, snow or mud, the TRX-4 can handle it!
The Bronco body is in a league of its own with a stunning level of details. Door handles, mirrors, fender flares and the fully functional spare tire are injection-molded, providing an incredible level of detail. Combined with “Trail Sights” that extend to the grill and bumpers with tow hooks, fairlead and receiver hitch all add to the unique true to scale look of the 1/10 Bronco. To avoid ruining its looks it uses a brand new clipless body system with an integrated quick-release system, which avoids pins and posts through the body, but still secures the body tightly and releases in just a few seconds. Brilliant!
Delivered fully assembled – Just add batteries
The Traxxas TRX-4 Ford Bronco 4×4 1/10 is delivered fully assembled with a Traxxas TQi 2.4 GHz radio system, painted and decaled body, pre-glued tires, and detailed instructions. Traxxas backs the 1/10 TRX-4 and all other products with top-notch support and full parts support. Your Traxxas car is also protected by the Traxxas Lifetime Electronics Warranty.
All you need to get going is a Traxxas charger and your Traxxas 6-7 cell NiMH or 2S-3S LiPo batteries of choice. We recommend the EZ-Peak range of fast chargers and batteries with a capacity of minimum 3000mAh for longer drive times between re-charging.
